Considering Art : Considering Actuality
In collaboration with Considering.Film™, we explore the the use of interludes in early public broadcasts.
In the earliest days of television, when an encounter with moving images in the privacy of one’s own home was still a novelty, public television programming was full of experimental possibilities that to this day inform our own visual and experiential media landscape.
Join us as, together; we rummage through the British Broadcasting Corporation’s archive of early Interlude films. We consider the impact of mediated realities - actualities - presented to the public through the networked medium of television and, with this, the advent of a new genre of works.
